Many shoppers prefer online shopping rather than a retail shop because of price variation of grocery items. Buyers always find benefits while purchasing grocery items. Difference between the price of online & offline stores

1: Sticker Price

According to the Market Report Survey, the price of buying grocery items in Pakistan from online shop are less than the Cost Price in the retail market. The online merchandise does not need to keep different sticker for Marked Price and Cost Price. On the other hand, the retail supermarket always labels their grocery items with a Marked Price and Cost Price. The offline vendors sell the goods in the Marked Price by keeping the cut off the profit of the cost price. Therefore, buying grocery items from an online store is better than offline shop.


2: Discount

The online store gives a high discount on the grocery items compared to the retail supermarket. The e-store offers a seasonal or weekly discount in every month, but retail markets offer a discount only during the time of clearance and end of the year. Online shops do not need to provide offer-clearance sale because they sell the fresh goods instantly in comparison to the offline markets.


3: Money Back or Return Policy

The retail markets do not believe in money back or return policy, if it is not a nearby store, whereas every online store provides an option of Return Policy in their website. You can return back the unwanted products by giving a logical reason to the e-store if a good quality item is not provided to you.


4: Shipping Cost

The online stores charge a shipping cost to send the grocery items at your doorstep, but if you look at the profit margin, then you will find that offline store always keeps a margin with Marked Price. The profit margin makes the grocery items of retail shop expensive than the total cost of the online store.



Final Approach
It is also found that online shops offer free shipping if you do a minimum purchase. Meanwhile, visiting offline market can be price-worthy because of the transport and parking charge. Therefore, purchasing grocery items from e-store is highly beneficial compared to the retail markets.
